Maintenance advice

Cleaning

To clean the board, it is recommended to do so by hand and not use hot water. Also, don't let the board get wet for too long. Rinse the board  under the tap using a scouring pad or dishcloth, then pat dry with a tea towel. Although washing-up liquid is not necessary, it is recommended after contact with raw meat, poultry or fish.

Drying

Make sure you dry the board nicely, putting it away wet will make the wood want to work anyway. After drying it off, preferably put it upright. Here, it is important that the grain of the wood is vertical. This reduces the risk of warping a lot.

If wood has dried out, you need to re-oil it. Grape seed oil is preferred for this purpose. How often this is needed depends on the use of the board.
